About van zuylen consulting
Van Zuylen Consulting was founded by Steve van Zuylen on the belief that the most complex leadership challenges call for a depth of specialism and level of partnership best delivered by a specialist practice. Steve leads on all projects and for larger engagements, draws on a network of carefully selected associates.
Van Zuylen Consulting works with clients who:
Recognise that every leader, team and culture is unique and know this calls for a highly tailored approach, rather than a one-size-fits-all programme.
Care deeply about creating lasting change, and are willing to experiment and put the work in, to achieve what matters.
Value real relationships, and are willing to invest their time and energy in the right partnerships.
EXPERIENCE & expertise
Steve brings over 25 years of international experience, preparing leaders and teams for the future. As a practitioner, he combines his extensive portfolio of client work with hands-on commercial experience, having successfully led consulting businesses through start-ups, scale-ups, and acquisitions.

His advisory and consulting work draws on his expertise in C-Suite coaching and assessment, executive team facilitation, board effectiveness, and succession management.
A global citizen he has spent more than a decade living in Latin America and the US, bringing a uniquely nuanced view and insight into the opportunities and challenges of developing leadership across geographical borders. He is bilingual, working in both English and Spanish.

OUTSIDE OF WORK
Steve is above all a family man, living in Guildford with his wife and two characterful children. He is an avid (although progressively less skilful) mountain biker. He loves being out in nature and is passionate about music, with an eclectic, if wistful taste. Live music events are where you’ll see Steve at his most alive.
Steve's focus on reinvention expands to his work with Spark Inside, where he provides coaching to young people in prison as they prepare for release.
